Personalized Care and Connection

Change is possible and support is available.

Hi, I’m Amy (she/her).

My lived experience and training in trauma processing, relationships and somatic therapy has given me the skills to create a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth. It also helps me understand the effects it has on your body, brain, emotions and life. I can help you see your strengths while providing support in changing the stories, values or beliefs that are keeping you stuck. I also assist couples who are struggling with conflict, communication or tension build stronger relationships and meaningful emotional connections.

My cultural background of Indigenous (Mohawk) and Irish descent has given me the valuable viewpoint on how culture, society and diversity, among many other factors, can influence the way we see ourselves and the world around us.

When suffering emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by too much stress for a long period of time, I had feelings of overwhelm, was emotionally drained, and found it really difficult to meet the daily demands of life. I realized I was suffering from burnout and chose the support of counselling as a tool to help positively change my beliefs and values through leading to burnout recovery. This experience prompted my career transition into the field of professional counselling.
